Ever since the IOS 11.1 have came out, some iPhone users have been put in a predicament situation with typing the letter “i”. When typing, it would correct it to a letter “A” and a Unicode symbol next to it. Although, Apple has released a new version on Thursday, IOS 11.1.1. It is said to fix the controversy with the letter.
Before the version has been released, Apple and some other people recommended another way. To do this, go to the Settings app, General, scroll down to Keyboard, press Text Replacement, then the plus symbol (“+”). In the section where it says “Phrase,” type in a capital “I“, and in the “Shortcut,” type in the lowercase “i“. Then hit Save.

Now that a new software update has came out, you can now type the letter i. All you have to do is, go to Settings, General, Software Update, and Install the latest version.
